On Thursday, Oct. 17, an introductory meeting for Toastmasters was
held at Granite State College in Conway. The purpose of the meeting
was to demonstrate to those who attended the benefits of Toastmasters
membership and to answer all questions related to Toastmasters and
the forming of a local club. Nine people have shown a serious
interest in forming a new Toastmasters' chapter. They need at least
20 to charter a new chapter. On Wednesday, November 6, 2013 another
organizational meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This
meeting is again open to the public and everyone is invited.
Do you want to improve your communication skills? Would you like to
learn how to conduct effective meetings? Would you like to
give/receive better feedback? The first meeting was a complete
success but we need you. Granite State College is supporting the new
club by providing the conference room at the college for a meeting
venue. The club is also requesting corporate sponsorship to help
defray some of the costs associated with chartering and maintenance
of a active, vibrant Toastmasters Club.
